Shirofune has added Reddit Ads to its advertising automation platform, giving U.S. brands and agencies a single interface to plan, manage and optimise campaigns across more media channels.
The integration puts Reddit alongside services already supported by Shirofune, including Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, X and LinkedIn. The platform also connects with eCommerce and analytics tools.
Reddit has drawn growing advertiser interest in recent years as marketers look for ways to reach interest-based communities. Its structure centres on topic-led forums where users often discuss products, services and purchasing decisions. As a result, some advertisers now treat Reddit as a distinct line item in media plans rather than folding it into existing paid social or search operations.
Shirofune's move reflects that shift, positioning the integration as a way to run Reddit campaigns without a separate workflow or the need to switch between multiple ad consoles day to day.
"Reddit has become a critical channel for U.S. marketers who want to reach passionate communities and niche interest groups, but it can be time-consuming to manage alongside all the other platforms," said Mitsunaga Kikuchi, founder and CEO of Shirofune.
Workflow changes
The connection brings Reddit campaign controls into the same dashboard used for other channels, covering monitoring and optimisation. This can reduce the need for separate reporting routines and manual checks across platforms.
Shirofune also applies automated budget allocation and bid adjustments to Reddit campaigns. It says its automation engine shifts spend based on performance across campaigns, ad groups and audiences, reflecting common search and paid social practices that reallocate budgets in response to conversion and efficiency signals.
Another part of the integration supports what Shirofune calls "funnel-aware" strategies. In practice, this means setting different targets for campaigns aimed at awareness, consideration and conversion. Shirofune says users can run these strategies on Reddit with distinct objectives and performance targets.
Reddit results can also appear alongside other channels in a consolidated view, which can help teams compare performance across paid search, paid social and retail media without building bespoke spreadsheets and dashboards.
Shirofune says it can incorporate data from third-party attribution products to optimise across channels. Many large advertisers use external attribution and measurement services to assign value to touchpoints across platforms, particularly when platform reporting provides an incomplete view of outcomes.
"U.S. advertisers and agencies have been asking for a way to bring Reddit into the same automated workflow as their other performance channels," Kikuchi said. "This integration is built with them in mind, making Reddit easier to test, scale, and measure without adding more manual work to already-stretched teams."
Platform landscape
The addition of Reddit highlights how advertising operations continue to fragment across channels, even as buyers push for simplification. Brands often run campaigns across search, social, video, retail media and emerging community-led platforms, each with its own interfaces, reporting and optimisation approaches. That fragmentation has increased the value of tools that sit above individual ad platforms and provide centralised management and governance.
For Reddit, tighter connections with third-party management tools can influence how quickly buyers test and scale spend. Agencies often rely on a limited set of systems for pacing, reporting and optimisation. Reducing friction can make it easier for teams to treat a channel as standard operating procedure rather than an experiment that needs special handling.
Founded in 2014, Shirofune describes itself as an automated advertising management platform focused on efficiency across major digital ad channels. It says more than 10,000 accounts and 300,000 active campaigns have been managed through its software, and that it is the only Yahoo! Ads API-certified partner tool in Japan.
Shirofune has increasingly emphasised omnichannel coverage as it expands support beyond core search and social. The Reddit Ads integration is the latest addition, framed around unified management, automation and combined performance visibility across platforms.
Shirofune says the Reddit Ads integration is available to U.S. advertisers and agencies as part of its supported channel roster.
