1Kosmos brings biometrics to Saviynt identity platform

Fri, 19th Dec 2025

Digital identity firm 1Kosmos has joined Saviynt's integration marketplace, adding biometric identity verification and re-verification services directly into Saviynt's cloud-based identity security platform.

The move places 1Kosmos on the Saviynt Exchange, which offers pre-built integrations for customers of Saviynt Identity Cloud. The tie-up brings together 1Kosmos' biometric identity proofing, private blockchain-based identity store and passwordless authentication with Saviynt's governance-focused identity and access platform.

Both companies are targeting organisations that want stronger checks on who is accessing systems, beyond traditional passwords and one-off authentication events. Many large enterprises face a mix of legacy access tools, manual onboarding and rising levels of identity fraud, especially as more services move online and more work is conducted remotely.

Onboarding focus

The integration embeds 1Kosmos' remote identity proofing directly into Saviynt's identity workflows. Enterprises can trigger biometric checks when onboarding external users, such as contractors, partners or customers, and record the verification outcome in Saviynt's environment.

These checks aim to address gaps where users gain access based on a one-time validation and are not verified again as their roles or risk profiles change. The combined offering introduces automated re-verification at set trigger points during the user lifecycle.

Trigger events can include changes in job role, updates to employment status or signs of suspicious activity. When Saviynt's policies detect such events, the platform can initiate a new identity proofing request through 1Kosmos rather than rely solely on existing credentials.

1Kosmos says its verification process uses government-grade biometric checks and a private blockchain to store identity attributes. Saviynt applies its own identity governance and analytics to determine which users require additional scrutiny and what access they should receive.

Fraud and compliance

Enterprises are under pressure to reduce identity-based fraud as attackers focus on credential theft, phishing and social engineering. Identity platforms are also absorbing more compliance requirements as regulators scrutinise how organisations validate users and track access.

By combining verification and access governance, the two companies aim to give security and risk teams a single route to address onboarding risk, fraudulent account creation and ongoing access reviews. The integration is offered as an "out-of-the-box" option through the Saviynt Exchange, which reduces the effort for shared customers who want to connect the systems.

According to the companies, the joint service is available with FedRAMP High-certified, globally available infrastructure. This signals a focus on regulated sectors such as government, financial services and healthcare, where digital identity requirements are stringent.

Hemen Vimadalal, CEO of 1Kosmos, said the agreement is intended to bring high-assurance verification into Saviynt's customer base.

"Our partnership with Saviynt enables customers to access and deploy high-assurance identity verification directly from the Saviynt Identity Cloud," said Hemen Vimadalal, CEO, 1Kosmos. "Together, we're enabling enterprises to accelerate secure onboarding, prevent identity-based fraud, and simplify compliance while giving users a seamless passwordless experience."

Lifecycle assurance

Saviynt Identity Cloud covers identity governance, access requests and privileged access management. The 1Kosmos integration extends this into the identity proofing layer, which sits at the point where an organisation first establishes that a person is who they claim to be.

Under the joint approach, a user's identity is initially verified with biometrics and document checks, then bound to a digital credential. Saviynt then uses that identity record as part of its access decisions. If risk factors change, the system can invoke additional verification steps.

This lifecycle approach responds to a broader trend in the security market. Vendors are expanding beyond static access control into continuous identity assurance, linking authentication strength to real-time risk signals and business context.

Anirudh Sen, SVP at Saviynt, said the partnership extends the exchange's focus on integrated security tools. "By integrating 1Kosmos' advanced identity verification and passwordless multi-factor authentication into the Saviynt Exchange, we're empowering enterprises to strengthen security, automate identity assurance, and maintain continuous compliance," said Sen. "This collaboration underscores our commitment to reducing risk and delivering seamless identity experiences."

The two companies expect demand from organisations that are revisiting identity architectures after a period of investment in zero trust, cloud migration and remote work. Many of those projects exposed weaknesses in legacy onboarding processes and in the reliance on passwords and static credentials.

1Kosmos says its platform already runs millions of authentications each day across sectors such as banking, telecommunications, technology, healthcare and retail. Saviynt's exchange listing gives those services a direct route into Saviynt environments, rather than through custom integrations.

The firms plan further collaboration within the exchange ecosystem as customers standardise on fewer identity platforms and seek more automation across verification, authentication and access governance.
