Ask Iris brings AI-powered conversational insights to Iris platform

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Cro Metrics has announced the launch of Ask Iris, an AI-powered chat feature within its Iris platform. The tool is designed to allow organisations to access experimental program data using natural language queries, aiming to simplify the process of gaining insights from complex testing data.

Conversational queries

Ask Iris enables users to ask questions about their programme data through straightforward conversational prompts. The system responds with information derived directly from the organisation's own experimentation datasets.

Typical queries supported by the new feature include requests for executive summaries of programme impact, summaries of customer learnings, and information on tested strategies. The aim is to reduce reliance on navigating dashboards or waiting for tailored analytical reports.

Dave Albert, EVP Product at Cro Metrics, said:

"At Cro Metrics, we believe the real power of experimentation lives in what you discover about your customers, and then applying that holistically to your channel strategies. Ask Iris makes accessing all of that knowledge dramatically easier, turning months or even years of testing data into actionable strategies available in seconds."

Collaboration focus

The chat feature is intended to facilitate the sharing of insights across different business units, including marketing, product and strategy. Cro Metrics highlights that Ask Iris is designed to remove technical barriers often associated with traditional data analysis tools, allowing non-technical stakeholders to access information and collaborate more effectively. The ability to onboard new team members is positioned as a key improvement, bringing them up to speed with ongoing programmes in less time.

Steve Meyer, Director of Product at Cro Metrics, said:

"When everyone can easily access insights, collaboration becomes effortless. Ask Iris helps teams onboard faster and turn shared knowledge into stronger alignment and smarter decisions."

Data protection

Cro Metrics stresses that the architecture of Ask Iris is designed with security and confidentiality as priorities.

Each organisation's data is kept isolated, with no cross-account sharing. According to the company, all responses are strictly generated from the client's data and are not influenced by data from other sources or users.

Strategist support

There is a separate, internal version of Ask Iris used by Cro Metrics' Growth Strategists. This version leverages an internal database containing thousands of experiments and personalisation campaigns. It is used to detect patterns and industry-wide learnings, while keeping client data private and isolated. The company states that this capability, combined with tools such as ImpactLens, helps prioritise hypotheses, benchmark performance and develop strategies more quickly.

Integration with other tools

Ask Iris forms part of a larger suite of digital optimisation solutions developed by Cro Metrics. The company says the feature can be used alongside tools such as ImpactLens for a more comprehensive approach to benchmarking and strategy development.
