Auvik has appointed Daniel Ochoa as Chief Revenue Officer following a year of product and channel expansion at the IT management software company.

Ochoa joined Auvik in June 2025 and is being elevated after what it described as a strong first full fiscal year under his commercial leadership. During that period, Auvik launched Auvik AI, introduced intelligent alerting, and expanded its integration with ServiceNow for automated device inventory management.

He now takes charge of the full revenue organisation as Auvik looks to grow within its existing customer base and deepen its reach through channel partners. His remit also includes further growth in North America and expansion in international markets.

Before joining Auvik, Ochoa was Chief Revenue Officer at Automox. He also spent nearly 12 years at SolarWinds in sales leadership roles across North America, Latin America, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

That background is central to Auvik's push to build a broader channel and alliance network as competition intensifies in IT operations software. Since arriving, Ochoa has introduced what Auvik calls its Partner Success Framework, a programme intended to align more closely with partners and standardise how they work with the business.

Auvik linked that work to channel momentum over the past year and noted that Ochoa was named to CRN's 2026 Channel Chiefs list. His promotion comes as software suppliers across IT management and operations increasingly rely on partners to expand sales coverage, particularly as customers assess new AI tools alongside long-established monitoring and management products.

Broader platform

Auvik has been extending its platform beyond its established network monitoring base and now aims to offer broader visibility across IT environments, including networks, endpoints, security devices, and software-as-a-service applications.

Its systems manage one million network devices and three million SaaS applications across more than 100,000 networks, while providing monitoring services for more than 10 million devices. Those figures illustrate the scale Auvik is seeking to leverage as it sells more products into its installed base.

AI has become a central part of that strategy. Auvik said its newer tools are designed to help IT teams move from reactive monitoring to earlier problem resolution, while reducing alert volume and the time spent triaging issues.

The company is also framing that work around what it describes as agentic IT management, a term a growing number of software vendors use for systems that can take more automated actions within workflows. For buyers, the practical test will be whether such products reduce manual work without creating new operational risks.

Leadership focus

In his new role, Ochoa is expected to focus on channel relationships, as well as cross-sell and upsell efforts across Auvik's product range. That suggests the company sees further growth coming not only from winning new customers, but also from selling additional services to organisations already using its software.

His experience across multiple regions may also matter as Auvik works to build a larger international business. Mid-sized software companies in infrastructure and operations often face the challenge of balancing direct sales expansion with partner-led growth, especially when entering markets where local resellers and service providers play a large role in procurement decisions.

Ochoa outlined those priorities in a statement released by Auvik.

"The results we've delivered this year are a reflection of the team Auvik has built and the culture we've invested in," said Daniel Ochoa, Chief Revenue Officer, Auvik. "We've challenged ourselves to think differently, execute with discipline, and show up consistently for our partners and customers. As CRO, my focus will remain on scaling what's working, including investing in partner relationships, expanding our platform's footprint with existing customers, and powering a continued pace of innovation."

Auvik Chief Executive Officer Doug Murray said the appointment reflects the company's next phase of commercial development.

"Daniel combines extensive channel expertise with a disciplined approach to building high-performing teams and scalable growth engines," said Doug Murray, Chief Executive Officer, Auvik. "As we continue bringing new Auvik AI capabilities to market, his leadership will be instrumental in helping customers and partners realize greater value from our platform and driving Auvik's next phase of growth."
