Bizora has integrated its tax research service with Truss, giving accounting firms that use Truss access to Bizora research through Max AI.

The integration lets firms use Bizora's cited federal and state tax research inside Truss's AI assistant without a separate Bizora subscription. Users can ask tax questions within Max AI, review the response, and open cited sources in the same workflow.

Tax research tools have often sat outside the main systems firms use to prepare and review returns. As a result, practitioners have had to move between products to confirm a tax position, check authority, and document their conclusions.

Under the new setup, Truss users can research federal tax issues and state tax law across all 50 states from within the workflow platform. The integration is intended to keep research more closely tied to the return, the workpapers, and the rest of the engagement.

Truss handles tax work from client intake through workpaper assembly, preparation, and final delivery. Its platform also includes document recognition, workpaper organisation, AI-based preparation options, e-signature with KBA for Form 8879, K-1 splitting, and payment collection.

Clients of firms using Truss can upload documents, sign, and pay through a link without creating an account or password. With Bizora added, tax questions raised during preparation or review can be checked without opening a separate research product.

Dan Pinkous, Chief Executive Officer of Truss, said the company assessed several potential partners before choosing Bizora.

"We evaluated several players in the space. Bizora moved the fastest and provided the best depth and quality in any potential integration," said Dan Pinkous, Chief Executive Officer of Truss.

He added that firms were already using Max AI for more advanced work.

"We've already heard from firms that Max AI's capabilities have allowed entire teams to do more sophisticated research, and that's one of our priorities for every firm we serve," Pinkous said.

Bizora said the Truss link focuses on its federal and state tax research offering. The company also provides audit research covering GAAP, IFRS, GASB, PCAOB, AICPA, SEC reporting, and government auditing standards, though that is not the focus of this integration.

Bizora offers access to its research through several channels, including a web app, an API, and an MCP server. The Truss arrangement adds another route to market through a workflow platform already used by accounting firms.

Adam Tahir, CPA, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bizora, said the aim was to place research where tax professionals are already working.

"Tax professionals shouldn't have to leave their work to find the answer, and they shouldn't have to take an answer on faith," said Adam Tahir, CPA, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bizora.

"Our goal is to put rigorous, cited research wherever practitioners already are. Making Bizora available inside Truss is a natural step toward that," Tahir said.
