CData launches integration accelerator for Microsoft Fabric
CData Software has introduced its Microsoft Fabric Integration Accelerator, aiming to facilitate the integration of Microsoft Fabric with various external data sources.
This new offering is designed to enhance Microsoft Fabric's capabilities by providing connectivity to over 270 data sources, including enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, and Salesforce. The accelerator promises to streamline the integration process, which can often pose significant challenges to organisations using Microsoft Fabric.
Manish Patel, Chief Product Officer at CData, highlighted the importance of addressing data integration challenges: "Organisations implementing Microsoft Fabric face critical data integration challenges for data residing outside of the Microsoft ecosystem that can significantly delay their time-to-value."
"Our Microsoft Fabric Integration Accelerator addresses these challenges head-on, enabling customers to more quickly access and integrate disparate data within their Microsoft Fabric environment in a matter of days rather than months."
The Microsoft Fabric Integration Accelerator is comprised of three main toolkits. The OneLake/Warehouse Build Toolkit is designed to facilitate data ingestion with Change Data Capture (CDC) from over 270 sources, supporting live data access through Fabric Dataflow Gen 2. The Power BI Live Connectivity Toolkit allows for live connectivity from Power BI to various data sources via pre-built data models, which can assist in eliminating the need for manual data preparation. Finally, the Azure Data Factory Extension Toolkit extends connectivity beyond Microsoft's native sources, offering a unified SQL data model and simplifying API integrations without the requirement for custom coding.
Ben Lehrer, CEO of First Water, endorsed the OneLake Toolkit, stating, "The CData OneLake Toolkit checked all the boxes for Fabric integration. CData offers the connector set, underlying source data availability, structured replication engine, and flexibility we sought in seeking a cost-effective 'pure play' solution that delivers maximum ROI and time-to-value for Finance teams adopting Fabric to support and streamline critical FP&A processes."
CData's recent recognition in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration, where it was named a Leader, reinforces its position in the data connectivity market. As the demand for Microsoft technologies continues to rise, CData's efforts to expand its enterprise connectivity offerings demonstrate its commitment to supporting organisations in navigating these integrations.
One notable aspect of the Microsoft Fabric Integration Accelerator is its volume-independent pricing model. This feature allows organisations to manage costs effectively regardless of data volume, making it a particularly appealing solution for large enterprises with extensive data management requirements.
