Celonis launches new apps to optimise industry processes

Yesterday

Celonis has expanded its portfolio by launching new Process Intelligence Apps in collaboration with its ecosystem partners.

The company has introduced four new applications, each designed to streamline and enhance specific industrial processes. One of these applications focuses on addressing claims leakage in the insurance sector, a substantial issue resulting in financial losses for the industry. This app was developed in partnership with Apolix and aims to provide comprehensive visibility into the insurance claims process, offering insights to minimise leakage by optimising throughput time, prioritisation, and adherence to processes.

A particular insurance company employing the app within the Celonis Platform Apps Program has reported financial benefits, realising over USD $300,000 in monthly value by effectively prioritising credit hire referral fee opportunities.

Celonis has also introduced applications designed for System Transformation, Software Development, and Sustainability with partners Bloomfilter, FITS-P, and Ventum. Malhar Kamdar, Chief Customer Officer and Head of Ecosystem at Celonis, commented on the initiative, "These next-generation apps showcase what's possible by pairing Celonis' Process Intelligence Graph and best practices on app-building with the extensive domain knowledge of our ecosystem partners."

He added, "With Celonis, partners get a unique process digital twin (system-agnostic process data augmented with deep business context) and an integrated toolset to create solutions that optimise processes. With these apps, companies continuously generate substantial business outcomes at speed and scale."

The Celonis for Software Development Lifecycle Management app, powered by Bloomfilter, addresses common challenges in software development projects such as budget overruns and missed deadlines. It provides process transparency to align stakeholders and features an AI-powered process debugger. The tool has enabled a network security company to improve development predictability, with a significant rise in the percentage of sprints meeting goals and reductions in stage wait times.

For businesses migrating their SAP ERP systems to S/4HANA, the deadline of December 2027 is approaching. The System Transformation Suite, developed with FITS-P, offers solutions tailored to each phase of the migration process, assisting companies in managing scope, timelines, budgets, and outcomes effectively.

In terms of sustainability, driven by the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), companies are required to trace their carbon emissions through supply chains. The Celonis CBAM App, powered by Ventum, aids companies in automating the CBAM process and managing associated certification costs efficiently.
