Cloudhouse & ServiceNow join forces to boost IT governance

Yesterday

Cloudhouse has entered a strategic partnership with ServiceNow to enhance IT governance through advanced application compatibility and infrastructure visibility capabilities.

Cloudhouse, a UK company that liberates critical business applications from legacy technology dependencies, announced the collaboration as part of efforts to enrich standard IT Change Enablement processes by integrating its Guardian platform with ServiceNow's systems, aiming to provide customers with improved operational oversight and management.

The integration focuses on Guardian's Drift Management and awareness features, which allow organisations to gain visibility into infrastructural changes and to follow device lifecycles from initial discovery to decommissioning. According to Cloudhouse, this integration provides IT teams with the ability to track and catalogue ongoing changes across their estates, offering a comprehensive understanding of their device environments.

Guardian's integration extends to ServiceNow's Incident, Change, and Configuration Management modules, supporting organisations in monitoring their IT operations more effectively by increasing transparency and enabling informed decision-making.

Cloudhouse's device discovery feature, Searchlight, which is powered by LanSweeper, complements Guardian's capabilities by enabling IT departments to efficiently identify and catalogue devices across their environments. These device records are then imported into the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database, allowing for more robust governance and streamlined process workflows.

According to the companies, the partnership and integration aim to deliver several benefits for organisations, including improved insights into the IT estate to ensure device inventories remain accurate and up to date. The systems also support the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities by tracking common vulnerabilities and exposures, automating compliance verification to align IT assets with both internal and regulatory standards, and enhancing service delivery by identifying critical changes that require action from IT teams, the said.

Mat Clothier, Chief Executive Officer at Cloudhouse, stated: "Our partnership with ServiceNow represents a significant step forward in our mission to help organisations achieve seamless application compatibility and cloud enablement.

"We look forward to demonstrating how our integrated solutions can drive operational excellence and deliver superior service experiences at Knowledge 2025."

Using Searchlight, Guardian, and ServiceNow together, organisations can address common IT estate management challenges by automating asset discovery, managing compliance, and detecting vulnerabilities. The companies said the integration is intended to provide a consolidated platform for IT teams, thereby improving the efficiency and resilience of their operational environments.

Attendees at Knowledge 2025 are able to see demonstrations of the integrated solutions and receive further information on strategies to develop a resilient and efficient IT environment.
