Comcast invests $7 million to boost Kingsland's internet
A $7 million investment by Comcast has brought high-speed Internet services, including Xfinity, Comcast Business, and NOW, to parts of Camden County, Georgia, enhancing connectivity for thousands of homes and businesses in Kingsland and its environs.
The upgrade provides access to advanced telecommunications capabilities, facilitating Internet speeds of up to 1.2 gigabits per second for residential customers and up to 100 Gbps for businesses. This development aims to enhance both personal and business communication infrastructure and is expected to catalyse further economic growth in the area.

The network upgrade includes enhancements to Xfinity services, offering customers advanced gateways that deliver extended WiFi coverage and support for multiple devices simultaneously. Comcast aims to expand its reach with future rollouts of the DOCSIS 4.0 connection, which promises symmetrical gigabit speeds.
Comcast's advancements emphasise reliability with the introduction of Storm-Ready WiFi, which maintains connectivity during power outages. The network is also characterised by ultra-low latency, an advantage for high-performance applications such as gaming, which Comcast reports is prevalent in the area.
