Ed Keisling appointed Progress' Chief AI officer

Progress has appointed Ed Keisling as the new Chief AI Officer, focusing on steering the company's AI strategy and enhancing its digital experience and infrastructure offerings.

Ed Keisling, with a background exceeding 30 years in executive engineering leadership, will be tasked with driving the development of AI-powered solutions across Progress' global product portfolio. His responsibilities will include designing AI-enabled solutions that aid organisations in implementing and efficiently scaling AI within their operations.

Reporting directly to CEO Yogesh Gupta, Keisling will play a critical role in aligning Progress' products to meet the evolving needs of its customers. "Ed is a transformational technology leader with over three decades of experience leading and driving change," said Yogesh Gupta, CEO, Progress. "Here at Progress, he has been instrumental in advancing our AI vision and innovation efforts. His ability to bridge engineering execution with strategic business goals has been evident throughout his career. Ed is shaping our AI-first approach as we align our product offerings to the rapidly evolving needs of our customers."

Prior to assuming the role of Chief AI Officer, Keisling was the Senior Vice President of Engineering for Infrastructure Management at Progress. During his tenure, he made significant contributions in fostering innovation and improving operational efficiencies. His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Vecna Technologies, where he managed Engineering, IT, DevOps, Support, Program Management, and Analytics, and a long-standing 17-year tenure in senior engineering positions at Pegasystems.

In addition to his professional achievements, Keisling dedicates time to mentoring through engineering development programmes. He contributes to initiatives such as the UNH Pathways Program and the MIT Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program (UPOP), offering guidance as a mentor and presenter.
