Fiddler raises $30m Series C to power the control plane for AI Agents
Fiddler has raised USD $30 million in Series C funding as it expands its product, a control plane for AI agents and other complex AI systems.
RPS Ventures led the round. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Lux Capital, Insight Partners, Capgemini Ventures, Dallas VC, Dentsu Ventures, and Mozilla Ventures also participated. LG Technology Ventures, Benhamou Global Ventures, and LDV Partners joined as new strategic investors.
The company said the round takes its total funding to USD $100 million.
Control plane
Fiddler sells software for AI observability and security. The company said it will focus on a "neutral control plane for compound AI systems" as more businesses deploy autonomous agents in core workflows.
Fiddler described its Control Plane as a platform for managing telemetry, evaluation, monitoring, policy, and governance across the AI lifecycle. The company positioned it as an alternative to narrower monitoring products aimed at developer debugging and individual model issues.
"The explosion of AI tools has created a significant gap in enterprise governance," said Timothy Murphy, Partner, RPS Ventures. "Companies are deploying agents that interact with customers and make consequential decisions, but they're monitoring them with fragmented point solutions built for simpler, deterministic use cases. A single agentic workflow can involve dozens of handoffs between models, tools, and APIs-each one a potential point of failure. Fiddler is the first company to deliver a true control plane that provides complete visibility into what agents are doing, contextual intelligence about why they're behaving that way, and real-time controls to enforce policy and prevent catastrophic failures. That category-defining position is why we led this round."
Regulated sectors
Fiddler said failures in agent systems can create regulatory, legal, and reputational risks. The company said it has seen demand from regulated industries where governance and audit needs carry more weight.
Fiddler said it has grown revenue more than four times over the last 18 months. The company also said it recently achieved AWS Pattern Partners status. It said CB Insights named it the number one company in AI Agent Security & Risk Management.
Product scope
Fiddler said its platform addresses both AI agents and predictive models. It also said it aims to offer a unified approach across observability, protection, and governance.
"Every major platform shift requires new infrastructure. When companies moved to the cloud, they needed orchestration layers. As they deploy autonomous agents, they need a control plane," said Krishna Gade, Co-Founder and Chief Executive, Fiddler. "Our years building trust infrastructure gave us the foundation to solve this, understanding not just what agents do, but why they do it. That's the difference between monitoring tools and mission-critical infrastructure."
Customer view
Nielsen is among the companies working with Fiddler, according to the funding announcement.
"Fiddler has delivered unified observability, protection, and governance across agents and predictive models, making it fundamental to our AI strategy, " said Karthik Rao, Chief Executive, Nielsen. "We are especially looking forward to the upcoming rollout of the control plane and the intelligent orchestration it will bring as our AI footprint grows."
Company background
Fiddler said it was founded in 2018 and has focused on root cause analysis, governance, and scaling AI systems for large organisations. The company said it will use the new capital to expand in regulated industries, including healthcare, financial services, and insurance. It also said it plans deeper integrations across the AI ecosystem.
Gade said the company's focus remains on trust and governance as agentic systems spread into operational use.
"Building trust into AI has been our mission since day one-trust that systems perform as expected, that risks are managed proactively, and that AI investments deliver measurable returns," said Gade. "We're grateful to RPS Ventures and our investors for supporting that mission as agents become central to enterprise operations. The control plane for compound AI systems is how we deliver trust at scale."
