Firm360 has launched a Claude Connector for accounting practice management, with a focus on firm health metrics.
Built on Anthropic's Claude, the connector lets partners, firm administrators, and practice leaders ask questions in plain language and get answers drawn from live data in Firm360. Firm360 says it is the first Claude Connector from an accounting practice management platform focused on firm health.
The launch reflects growing interest in using generative artificial intelligence tools to surface operational and financial information more quickly inside professional services firms. Firm360 is targeting accounting practices that want faster access to internal data on performance and billing.
The connector covers key measures firm leaders use to track financial health, including work in progress, realisation, write-ups and write-downs, overdue invoices, and client-level profitability. Users can ask questions such as the current level of work in progress across open engagements or which clients have invoices overdue by more than 60 days.
It is designed for questions that arise between meetings, when partners may want an immediate answer instead of waiting to search reports or dashboards later. The conversational interface sits alongside the reporting and workflow tools already available in the platform.
Patrick O'Neill, Chief Executive Officer of Firm360, said the product is intended to reduce the delay between a question and the underlying data.
"Every partner already has what they need to run a stronger firm. The problem was never the data; it was the distance to it. So we closed the gap," said O'Neill. "Now you ask, and Firm360 answers, instantly. This is one of the most powerful tools we've ever put in a partner's hands, and there's more coming."
Firm360, founded by accountants, sells practice management software to accounting firms across the United States. Its platform combines project management, document management, client management, time and billing, and reporting in a single system.
Operational focus
Brandon Gray, Founder of Firm360 and an accounting firm owner, said the product was shaped by the need for firm leaders to get answers to operational questions quickly.
"When a question comes up about the operations of the firm, partners want the answer in the same minute while it's on their mind," said Brandon Gray, accounting firm owner and founder of Firm360.
"The data has always been inside Firm360. The connector lets a partner ask for it in a conversational way. That changes how quickly a partner can get the data and take action based on what they see," Gray said.
The connector is available to a limited beta group of firms with an active Firm360 subscription and a Claude.ai Pro or Team plan. Configuration takes minutes and requires no data migration or additional IT setup.
Data handling is likely to be a central issue for accounting firms considering such tools, given the sensitivity of client and billing information. Firm360 says a firm's data remains inside its platform and that Anthropic does not use it to train its models.
The release comes as software providers for accountants add more artificial intelligence features to long-standing workflow and reporting products. Much of that activity has focused on drafting, summarising, and document handling, but Firm360 is emphasising immediate access to the financial and operational indicators firm leaders use to monitor practice performance.
By focusing on measures such as realisation, receivables, and client profitability, Firm360 is aiming at the commercial side of practice management rather than tax preparation or audit execution. That places the product among management information tools for partners and administrators making day-to-day decisions about cash collection, staffing, and client work.
The connector gives users a conversational route into data they already store in Firm360's system, rather than replacing existing reports and dashboards. The pitch is that it shortens the path from query to answer for accounting firms that track the health of their practices.
The connector is currently limited to a beta cohort of subscribing firms with eligible Claude plans.
