Gentrack names three executives to drive growth strategy

Mon, 8th Jun 2026 (Today)

Gentrack has appointed Nic Kennedy, Pazit Lustman and Scott Chilton to senior executive roles, reshaping its strategy, product and technology leadership across several markets.

Kennedy has been named Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director New Zealand. Lustman has been confirmed as Chief Product Officer, and Chilton has joined as Chief Technology Officer. The appointments deepen leadership as Gentrack expands its global platform business in regulated sectors.

Chief Executive Officer Gary Miles outlined the rationale for the hires.

"These investments in senior leadership capability bring the kind of experience we need to keep building a business that leads in some of the most complex regulated markets in the world. Nic, Pazit and Scott have built and scaled technology businesses in complex, highly regulated environments. They understand how to take products from vision to reality, how to build teams that can execute at pace, and how to evolve and scale technology platforms that customers depend on every day," said Gary Miles, Chief Executive Officer, Gentrack.

Leadership changes

The reshuffle also formalises a split between product and technology leadership. Lustman joined earlier as Chief Product and Technology Officer, overseeing both functions during an initial phase of change. Chilton's arrival separates those roles.

Based in Tel Aviv, Lustman now focuses on product transformation around Gentrack's g2 platform. She has more than 25 years of experience in product strategy and execution across listed groups and growth-stage technology businesses.

Before joining Gentrack, Lustman worked at Beyond Product as a fractional product leader, advising B2B technology companies on Generative AI and vertical software products. She also spent four years at Kaltura as Vice President of Product Management and Strategy for the media and telecom business, and earlier held senior product roles at Amdocs over 17 years.

Technology focus

Chilton is based in the United Kingdom and will lead technology strategy and investment. He joins from The Access Group, where he was Software Engineering Director in the ERP division.

His previous roles included Head of Engineering for a global supply chain engineering team spanning the United Kingdom, Romania, Malaysia and New Zealand. He has also held senior engineering positions at Experian and Capital One, working on software modernisation and organisational change.

Kennedy leads Gentrack's New Zealand business and now also oversees global marketing. She joined the company earlier this year as Managing Director New Zealand and later took on marketing responsibilities.

Her previous roles include five years as Chief Executive Officer of Flux Federation, after serving as Chair of its board. She was also Chief Innovation and Ventures Officer at PwC New Zealand and previously Chief Delivery Officer at Vend, where she led product, engineering, infrastructure and design teams during an international expansion.

Growth plans

The leadership changes come as Gentrack broadens its operations through acquisitions and internal restructuring. It recently completed the purchase of Factor, a New Zealand-founded energy pricing technology business, bringing on-demand commercial energy pricing into the g2 platform.

Its airports division, Veovo, has also agreed to acquire Dubai Technology Partners. Together, the deals extend Gentrack's reach beyond the executive changes and reflect a broader effort to strengthen product, engineering and market coverage.

Gentrack is listed in New Zealand and Australia and supplies software to utilities in energy and water markets. It serves more than 60 utilities across more than 17 regulated markets, while Veovo works with more than 150 airports in 25 countries.

Platform strategy

Gentrack employs more than 700 people globally. Its g2 platform covers billing, customer engagement, retail operations, debt management, data applications and integration for utility customers.

Lustman's work at Kaltura included oversight of a cloud TV software platform for pay-TV operators and media companies. Earlier in her career at Amdocs, she worked on digital experience products, including a cloud-native customer engagement platform.

Kennedy's background spans energy, consulting and retail software, while Chilton's career has focused on software engineering leadership in finance, data and business software. Together, the appointments place executives with experience in product development, engineering and market operations in roles close to Gentrack's core utility software business.

The three executives will be part of the leadership team shaping Gentrack's next phase, with a focus on an AI-first strategy for utilities responding to changes in energy systems.
