Ignition integrates with CCH Axcess to automate firm payments
Ignition has announced an integration with Wolters Kluwer's CCH AxcessTM platform to automate client engagement and payment processes for mid-sized and enterprise accounting firms in the United States.
The integration links Ignition's client billing and revenue management platform with CCH AxcessTM, a cloud-based tax and accounting solution widely used by many of the top 500 US firms. Through this, accounting firms will be able to automate their entire workflow, beginning with the initial engagement and continuing through to final payment.
Greg Strickland, Chief Executive Officer of Ignition, said, "Accounting and tax firms have spent too long wasting time with manual processes and losing revenue from unbilled work. This integration automates the entire client engagement-to-payment process, eliminating those inefficiencies. By pairing our two leading solutions, medium and large firms can eliminate accounts receivable, gain back wasted hours, and capture more revenue."
Ignition's presence in the CCHR Marketplace for tax and accounting makes it one of a select group of applications with access to Wolters Kluwer's APIs. This allows direct integration between Ignition and CCH AxcessTM, supporting a more streamlined and connected workflow for firms.
Industry data cited by Ignition indicates that scope creep is costing US accounting firms an average of $76,000 per year, while 94% of firms experience late payments. These operational and financial challenges are central to the problem that Ignition's integration seeks to address, by redefining best practices related to client engagement, billing, and payment through automation.
The new integration allows firms to import and synchronise client data and unpaid invoices from CCH AxcessTM into Ignition. Once imported, Ignition automates the full engagement workflow. This includes preparing and sending proposals, managing engagement letters, issuing invoices, and processing payments within a single platform.
Among the benefits highlighted by Ignition are the ability to streamline client engagements by bulk-importing clients to create and send proposals, accelerate cash flow and cut down on late payments by automating collections with saved payment methods, support year-round recurring revenue through tiered pricing and advisory packages, and enhance workflow visibility by tracking tax return types and statuses from CCH AxcessTM directly within Ignition.
Cathy Rowe, Senior Vice President and Segment Leader, US Professional Market, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America, commented, "Our goal is to help accounting and tax firms drive productivity, navigate change, and deliver better outcomes. Integrating Ignition with CCH AxcessTM gets our customers even closer to that goal through the power of automation. This integration is proof of both Ignition's and Wolters Kluwer's shared commitment to innovation that delivers measurable value for firms."
The integration is aimed at providing medium and large accounting and tax firms with tools that help reduce inefficiencies, improve cash flow, and enable better management of their ongoing client relationships, ultimately transforming how they handle engagement and billing workflows using automation.
