Iveda & GlobalMed partner to target government agencies

Iveda has formed a strategic partnership with GlobalMed targeting government agencies.

The tie-up combines GlobalMed's virtual care systems and federal healthcare experience with Iveda's surveillance, location and drone technologies. The aim is to give government customers a broader operational view across people, assets and facilities.

The first procurement step is already in place. Iveda Smart Drones are now available for government order through GlobalMed under the Defence Logistics Agency's Tailored Logistics Support contract vehicle, giving federal and defence agencies a way to buy the systems through an existing procurement channel.

GlobalMed will act as Iveda's strategic government partner and help bring several of its products to public sector customers, including IvedaAI, Iveda Smart Drones, IvedaRTLS and IvedaCare.

The relationship goes beyond resale and distribution. The companies are also assessing how to integrate Iveda's artificial intelligence, real-time location services, aerial monitoring and remote care tools with GlobalMed's existing systems.

That could expand use of the combined systems across military sites, veterans' care, prisons, disaster response, remote clinics and other settings where staff need fast access to operational and clinical information. The goal is to connect medical insight with live information about people, equipment, buildings and surrounding conditions.

GlobalMed has spent more than two decades working with federal customers and healthcare providers in difficult operating environments. Its installed base includes the White House Medical Unit, the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defence and healthcare organisations in more than 60 countries.

Iveda, based in Mesa, Arizona, focuses on cloud-based video search, surveillance and smart infrastructure systems. GlobalMed, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, develops telehealth hardware and software used in distributed care settings.

First milestone

The drone procurement arrangement marks the first significant commercial milestone under the partnership. By placing the aircraft systems on an established contract vehicle, the companies are seeking to shorten the purchasing process for agencies that need unmanned systems for security, monitoring or operational oversight.

GlobalMed's role may prove significant because public sector buying often depends on approved channels and suppliers with federal compliance experience. Its background spans government, defence, healthcare and austere environments.

Iveda said the combined offer is intended to give agencies a fuller picture of what is happening in the field, including the ability to identify events, locate resources and connect those insights with healthcare delivery when teams are working in remote or high-pressure settings.
