Michelle Huff named Chief Marketing Officer at Alteryx
Alteryx has appointed Michelle Huff as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), joining a refreshed leadership team under Chief Executive Officer Andy MacMillan.
Michelle Huff's arrival comes alongside other recent appointments to senior roles, including Ben Canning as Chief Product Officer, Jon Pexton as Chief Financial Officer, and Steven Birdsall as Chief Revenue Officer, following MacMillan's tenure beginning in December last year.
Huff will oversee the company's global marketing strategy and initiatives, with a key focus on expanding the reach of the Alteryx One unified platform. Her 25 years of experience in technology sector marketing includes previous positions at Oracle, Salesforce, and most recently as CMO at UserTesting.
Alteryx stated that Huff's remit will cover product marketing, brand positioning, customer advocacy, and increasing demand generation. Her role will support the organisation's efforts to boost its market presence and deepen relationships with customers worldwide.
The company noted that Huff's track record includes leading marketing and go-to-market strategies for technology firms experiencing significant growth. At UserTesting, she was involved in the company's journey from a startup phase through to its public listing, acquisition, and merger, focusing on customer engagement and advocacy. Her earlier roles include CMO at Act-On Software, as well as senior marketing and product leadership positions at Salesforce and Oracle, with a focus on data management.
Huff expressed her enthusiasm about her new role at Alteryx, saying:
"I am energized to join Alteryx at such a pivotal moment for both the company and the broader industry. What sets Alteryx apart is its commitment to empowering enterprises around the world to get more value from their data through analytics, AI-driven automation, and true data democratization. With a customer-first mindset and a passion for building high-performing marketing teams, I am ready to help shape the next phase of growth at Alteryx."
Alteryx indicated that Huff's appointment reflects a strategic decision to enhance global brand awareness and customer engagement as part of its growth plans. The company stated that it plans to continue expanding its presence internationally while focusing on its customer base of more than 8,000 organisations.
Andy MacMillan, Chief Executive Officer at Alteryx, welcomed Huff's appointment and highlighted her leadership and communications skills, stating:
"Michelle is a world-class leader. I've always had a genuine appreciation for her ability to clearly and simply communicate value and positioning. Michelle is an exceptional executive, and I'm looking forward to seeing the impact she'll make at Alteryx."
