Netgear joins DPP to advance media & tech collaboration

Today

NETGEAR has announced its membership in the DPP, an international association for media and technology.

By joining the DPP, NETGEAR aims to further its commitment to providing businesses with tools for next-generation content creation and distribution.

The company is recognised for its focus on networking technology, particularly in the realms of broadcast and AV equipment.

NETGEAR's approach is centred around innovation in network configuration, highlighted by its NETGEAR AV OS, which offers certified profiles for various broadcast and pro AV protocols.

The company further provides complimentary access to engineering teams with expertise in both AV and IT for support services.

Moreover, NETGEAR's ST2110-capable series of switches are part of its strategy to align with evolving industry standards, supporting the industry's move towards AV over IP technologies.

"As traditional enterprise switch manufacturers turn their focus from broadcast to emerging IT trends like AI, NETGEAR remains dedicated to working closely with the media industry to create seamless, scalable solutions for broadcast and production environments," said Pramod Badjate, President and GM at NETGEAR.

"The DPP has collaboration at its core, which makes this a natural place for us to join forces and help drive the industry forward together."

DPP CEO Rowan de Pomerai expressed enthusiasm about NETGEAR's new membership. "We're thrilled that NETGEAR is joining our diverse group of leading media and technology companies," he stated.

"Their expertise and innovation in IP technologies will bring great value to our network, and we look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead as we work together to shape the future of the industry."

This membership provides NETGEAR with a platform to amplify its presence in the broadcast ecosystem.

The company plans to collaborate with over 500 key players in the digital production community as part of the DPP's network, which includes around 400 certified AV manufacturers.
