Oracle unveils AI agents to automate & streamline HR processes
Oracle has introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) agents within its Human Capital Management (HCM) suite to support HR leaders in automating and optimising workforce processes.
The newly launched AI agents are integrated into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and are designed to streamline HR workflows, enhance performance management, and facilitate data-driven decisions throughout the employee lifecycle, from hiring to retirement. According to Oracle, the deployment of these agents is intended to address increasingly complex workforce needs and rising employee expectations.
New tools across HR functions
The AI agents will be included as part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management, a component of the company's cloud-based application suite. Running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the agents are prebuilt with security features and are embedded within existing workflows at no extra cost.
The company highlighted several capabilities addressed by the AI agents. For internal mobility and recruitment, the Job Discovery Agent matches employees with opportunities based on experience and interest, providing insights on their qualifications for particular roles. The Job Fit Advisor Agent delivers personalised assessments to assist employees in identifying roles aligned with their career goals and guides them towards recommended learning to fill any gaps. The Interview Management Agent automates the scheduling process for recruiters, helping to coordinate availability and manage potential conflicts.
For career development, the Team Sync Advisor Agent assists with monitoring performance progress and collating summaries for effective check-ins between employees and managers. Managers can also use the Team Goals Assistant Agent to set, track, and align team objectives, drawing on company policies for monitoring progress. The Learning Tutor Agent provides support by answering employee questions about online training materials, while the Talent Advisor Agent offers managers insights into employee performance and potential next steps, such as promotions or pay raises.
Within core HR, the Employee Concierge Agent addresses employee queries about compensation, benefits, leave, and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate routing. Managers can similarly use the Manager Concierge Agent for queries relating to team management, compensation, and talent development. The Positions Assistant Agent provides staffing recommendations, including evaluations for backfilling positions, creating new roles, and determining headcount budgets.
For end-to-end employee lifecycle management and payroll, the Employee Lifecycle Policy Analyst Agent provides managers with policy guidance for hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes. The Succession Planning Advisor Agent helps HR professionals manage succession coverage and simulate risk scenarios when key vacancies arise. Payroll administrators benefit from the Payroll Run Analyst Agent, which flags potential payroll anomalies and helps trace the underlying causes, such as unprocessed events or recent changes.
Oracle statement
"As organizations navigate increasing workforce complexity and growing employee expectations, HR leaders need technology that streamlines manual processes and enhances engagement. Integrated AI applications
The AI agents are designed to operate within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, which include not only HCM but also Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), and Customer Experience (CX). Each of these application suites leverages AI to help organisations make decisions more quickly, improve productivity, and manage costs.
Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP offers finance and operations tools, while Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM integrates supply chain management and operations processes. Oracle Fusion Cloud CX supports organisations in marketing, sales, and service management to improve customer experiences.
The addition of AI agents to Oracle Fusion Applications is intended to enable HR leaders, managers, and employees to operate with greater efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and access tailored guidance on professional development and workforce management.
