Yesterday

Owl Labs has announced the certification of several of its 360-degree video conferencing products for Microsoft Teams, alongside new IT solutions.

The certification applies to Owl Labs' Meeting Owl 3 and Owl Bar products, with the Meeting Owl 4+ currently undergoing the certification process.

"We've been delivering innovative hybrid meeting room solutions to companies since 2016. Today's announcement marks an exciting evolution as we expand our solutions to include enterprise-grade features starting with certifications to support IT teams at scale," said Frank Weishaupt, CEO of Owl Labs. "We're giving enterprise IT buyers exactly what they've been asking for – powerful management tools, enhanced security, and seamless deployment options – all while preserving the intuitive experience our customers love."

This development aligns Owl Labs with Microsoft Teams' trusted standards, reaffirming its products' quality and performance for IT professionals. The certification aims to ensure a seamless integration for over 225,000 organisations, including 89 of the Fortune 100 companies.

"The Microsoft Teams certification is a testament to our team's relentless pursuit of meeting customer and buyers' needs," Weishaupt noted. "We've seen overwhelmingly positive results in the small and medium business market, which makes us optimistic about expanding to meet IT buyer needs in the enterprise segment. By meeting Microsoft's rigorous standards, we will continue to expand our capacity to foster seamless collaboration across organisations of all sizes."

Owl Labs is making strides with features like panorama and grid view for its Meeting Owl devices to enhance user experience. These new modes aim to support more natural, face-to-face conversations, transcending physical distances. Powered by AI-driven software, the devices aim to improve flexibility and portability, suiting various meeting space scenarios from small discussions to large presentations.

Enhancements to device management are being tackled through Owl Labs' Nest, a customer analytics platform. The Nest provides IT administrators with a comprehensive portal for managing devices, delivering updates and notifications to streamline operations and reduce physical checks of meeting rooms. Its scalability supports both smaller operations and larger enterprises' deployments.

Owl Labs' products have obtained several additional certifications, including Trade Agreement Act (TAA) Compliance and Cyber Essentials Plus certification. These qualifications address stringent security and compliance measures pertinent to government and enterprise customers, aiming to bolster trust and reliability.

The software underpinning Owl Labs' products is developed in the United States, adhering strictly to industry-standard security protocols. The solutions promise secure connections through a private, dedicated wireless network, aiming to ensure customer data integrity and protection.
