Pascal Zammit joins FourKites to drive AI supply chain growth

Yesterday

Pascal Zammit, former Senior Vice President at Michelin Group, has joined the Strategic Advisory Council of FourKites, where he will provide guidance on product development and global market growth.

Zammit is known for his background in global supply chain operations and digital transformation, particularly from his career at Michelin. He will assist FourKites' advisory council in steering product innovation and market expansion, drawing from his experience leading large-scale supply chain initiatives.

At Michelin, Zammit led the global supply chain organisation and was responsible for launching the Connected Mobility business unit. He played an integral role in transforming Michelin's supply chain across Europe, introducing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and blockchain. Furthermore, Zammit established an integrated worldwide sales and operations planning (S&OP/IBP) process for the company.

Reflecting on the changing landscape of the sector, Zammit remarked on the necessity for supply chains to modernise.

Industrial supply chains must evolve — from reactive systems to operations that are more predictive, more autonomous, but also more integrated with suppliers and customers and more understandable to operational teams — in order to deliver both Customer and Employee experiences that are key to business competitiveness. FourKites has developed an artificial intelligence end-to-end platform that doesn't just react to events, but actively orchestrates complex operations with only the necessary level of human intervention. This represents the future of supply chain management: systems that are usable and understandable by frontline operational teams and close to the customers and suppliers, capable of sensing, analysing, and proposing decisions quickly and efficiently. And doing so autonomously when needed, depending on the specific supply chain performance requirements of each business.

The Strategic Advisory Council at FourKites is composed of supply chain executives with firsthand experience in managing complex logistics operations. The council aims to align FourKites' development efforts with the actual needs of supply chain leaders globally.

Mathew Elenjickal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FourKites, commented on Zammit's appointment, stating,

Pascal's experience driving global transformation at complex organisations provides him with unique insight into the challenges faced by manufacturers operating across multiple markets and product lines. His proven track record of implementing advanced technologies at Michelin and achieving measurable business outcomes makes him an ideal advisor as we continue to evolve our platform. Pascal's strategic vision aligns perfectly with our mission to transform supply chains from reactive monitoring systems into autonomous operations that can sense, analyse, and execute decisions with minimal human intervention.

Zammit joins FourKites at a stage when the company is extending its capabilities beyond real-time supply chain visibility. FourKites has recently launched the Intelligent Control Tower, which pairs supply chain network data with digital twins and a digital workforce of artificial intelligence agents. These agents can act autonomously on supply chain data, seeking to prevent disruptions and coordinate operations across different networks.

Professional background

Before his tenure at Michelin, Zammit worked as a consultant at Cap Gemini after completing his postgraduate studies at INSA Lyon in France. Since 2021, he has served as a senior advisor to software-as-a-service providers and consulting firms. Additionally, Zammit holds the post of Associate Professor in Supply Chain and Logistics at Paris Panthéon Assas University.

Role at FourKites

Zammit is expected to share his knowledge about scaling operational excellence using digital workers at an upcoming summit hosted by FourKites. In the session, titled "The Digital Workforce Advantage: Scaling Excellence Through AI," Zammit will draw on his experience at Michelin to illustrate methods for reducing operational variation within complex, multinational organisations.

FourKites' approach involves integrating real-time supply chain data with digital tools to facilitate quick, and, when needed, autonomous decision-making. The company reports that its platform processes more than 3.2 million supply chain events daily, serving over 1,600 brands worldwide.
