Pedro Diaz named Tanium's Chief Revenue Officer to boost growth
Tanium has announced the appointment of Pedro Diaz as Chief Revenue Officer, with responsibility for global sales and revenue operations.
Diaz, who brings over two decades of experience in enterprise software, began his new position on September 1. He previously served as Senior Vice President of the Americas at Tanium, where he played a key part in business growth initiatives. His leadership experience spans North America, EMEA, and LATAM, including roles at Cloud Software Group, BMC Software, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Leadership responsibilities
In his new position, Diaz will take charge of Tanium's worldwide sales, partner sales, strategic alliances, and revenue operations strategies. His appointment comes as the company continues its focus on expanding internationally and addressing the needs of customers in the endpoint management sector.
"I am honored to step into this role and will work closely with our global customers and partners, who are some of the world's most innovative and security-conscious organisations," said Diaz, who previously served as Tanium's Senior Vice President of the Americas. "Tanium is foundational to our customers' efforts to build a strong offensive security posture by delivering real-time, continuous visibility across their IT environments."
Diaz's history of leveraging data to guide strategic and operational decisions is highlighted by his leadership roles in previous companies. He has been involved in significant business transformations, expanding operations and establishing high-performing teams across varied international markets.
Executive support
Tanium's Chief Executive Officer Dan Streetman underscored Diaz's contributions since joining the company and outlined expectations for further growth under his leadership.
"Pedro has proven to be an invaluable leader since joining Tanium in February 2024, and we're thrilled to welcome him to this new role," said Dan Streetman, CEO at Tanium. "His global perspective and ability to drive sales excellence will be indispensable as we continue to expand our global reach and deliver confidence and certainty to customers worldwide with Tanium AEM."
Market overview
The announcement comes amid continued pressure on IT operations and security teams to decrease risk and manage endpoints effectively in real-time. Tanium's autonomous endpoint management offering is described as supporting customers in these objectives by autonomously recommending and executing changes across their environments.
The company's platform supports 34 million endpoints globally, serving a wide array of clients - including 40% of the Fortune 100 - with offerings in asset discovery, vulnerability management, and incident response, among other capabilities.
International experience
Diaz's career has included notable stints at technology firms operating across multiple continents. At Cloud Software Group, BMC Software, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, he has worked on scaling operations and overseeing teams in new and established markets. His expertise is anticipated to contribute to Tanium's expansion efforts and support the company as it addresses customer requirements in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Streetman said Diaz's experience would be "indispensable" as Tanium seeks to deliver certainty and confidence globally, describing how his "global perspective and ability to drive sales excellence" align with the company's growth objectives.
Diaz replaces Tyker Fagg, the former Chief Revenue Officer at Tanium.
