Pure Storage named Leader in 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant again
Pure Storage has been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage Platforms, marking its twelfth consecutive year in a leadership position in a Gartner Magic Quadrant report.
Gartner defines enterprise storage platforms as products, value-based services, and delivery methods designed to support block, file, and object storage workloads across a range of use cases. The new Enterprise Storage Platforms category is intended to address organisations' need for agile, unified storage capabilities and a flexible, service-based delivery model for on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid environments. For the past five years, Pure Storage received the highest and furthest placement in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage Platforms.
Market developments
The ongoing rapid growth of artificial intelligence is increasing data volumes and changing business demands. Many organisations have found traditional storage models unable to keep pace, leading to fragmentation, silos, and data sprawl. Pure Storage offers its customers an Enterprise Data Cloud (EDC), delivered via the Pure Storage Platform, which unifies data estates in a cloud-based architecture managed by an intelligent control plane. The company says all this is provided as a service. The platform uses Pure Fusion, enabling organisations to manage data globally with centralised control and automation.
Pure Storage delivers data storage and management at scale - automating and simplifying customers' global data storage environment," said Charles Giancarlo, Chief Executive Officer, Pure Storage. "Only Pure Storage has innovated an architectural approach that allows customers to better manage their global data, not just their storage.
Platform updates
Recent innovations in the Pure Storage Platform during 2025 focus on automation, scalability, and security for enterprise customers. Pure Fusion has introduced workload automation, featuring presets and remote provisioning for fleetwide management of file, block, and object storage. The company's next-generation FlashArray and FlashBlade products are designed for high-performance workloads and seamless scaling to meet future demand. Pure Storage has also extended object support to FlashArray, aiming to combine block, file, and object workloads under a single architecture.
To address operational risks, Pure Storage has embedded compliance and cyber resilience into its platform, including new governance policies and third party integrations. Rubrik has become the first cybersecurity partner to work with Pure Storage's workflow orchestration capability for enhanced threat detection across production and non-production environments. Pure Storage is also collaborating with CrowdStrike to provide validated, on-premises, resilient, and secure storage for CrowdStrike LogScale.
Customer feedback
The recognition from Gartner is backed by customer satisfaction metrics. According to Gartner Peer Insights, as of August 2025, Pure Storage received an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5 in the Enterprise Storage Platforms market, with 98% of reviewers indicating a willingness to recommend the company, based on 689 reviews.
Customer testimonials highlight various aspects of the platform. An IT Manager in the Energy and Utilities Industry commented, "Pure Amazement: FlashArray is the most rock solid storage platform we have ever had." An Engineer in the Healthcare and Biotech Industry stated, "It just works. Been a very solid experience and product from start to finish." An IT Leader in the Banking Industry added, "Impressive Performance and Strong Data Protection Features Stand Out for This Product."
