RSM selects Dayshape AI to enhance global resource management

Tue, 29th Jul 2025

RSM US has chosen Dayshape's AI-powered platform as part of a transformation of its resource management processes.

The move is part of a larger digital transformation strategy at RSM, which employs more than 17,900 professionals across nearly 100 offices. This change will see the company transition from several legacy tools to a single, integrated system for managing capacity, project financials, and workforce data in real time, fully synchronised with Workday.

Operational changes

Dayshape's AI-powered platform provides RSM with enhanced visibility into resource planning and project financials across all business lines. According to the company, this enables smarter and more data-driven decisions, supporting the firm's goal of integrating intelligent technology into its operations.

RSM's decision comes as the firm continues to expand its use of artificial intelligence in key processes, reflecting a trend in the broader financial services industry where AI applications are being increasingly adopted for operational efficiencies and client service improvements.

Matt Cockett, Chief Executive Officer at Dayshape, said: "I'm so pleased to have RSM on board with Dayshape. Resource management really is at the heart of professional services firms and by investing in it, like RSM has, you're truly maximizing the growth of your business. That's the kind of extraordinary results we're helping our customers to achieve, and it starts with having very close collaboration - something I'm pleased to say we're already enjoying with RSM."

The software offers key features such as a Gantt chart scheduler, providing RSM with real-time visibility of capacity and workforce utilisation. This allows the firm to evaluate and optimise resource allocations, supporting greater efficiency and impact for both its customers and employees.

Streamlining data

Integration with existing systems is a central component of the new approach. As an existing user of Workday HCM, Finance, and Skills, RSM will see workforce data synchronise in real time between these platforms and Dayshape. Employee profiles built in Workday, including information on licences, certifications, and tactical skills, will feed into Dayshape's system. This integration aims to allow more accurate matching of skills to project demands, as well as proactive measures such as reskilling or targeted recruitment to address skill gaps.

Kelli Waters, Enterprise Resource Management Strategy Leader at RSM, said: "Integrating our people, processes, and technology in smarter, more connected ways is central to how we scale globally and elevate the experience for our people and our clients. We chose Dayshape because its advanced AI capabilities enhance our ability to make faster, more intelligent decisions. This enables us to bring the full power of the firm to every client engagement - consistently, efficiently, and with greater impact."

With Dayshape's suitability-scoring approach, the platform matches employees to clients based on a range of factors, aiming to ensure appropriate resource allocation and engaged teams. RSM expects this will contribute to both improved operational efficiency and a more meaningful impact for its clients.

The availability of real-time reports and dashboards also enables RSM to monitor current and future skill requirements, allowing the firm to adapt proactively as demand shifts.

Strategic growth

RSM's adoption of Dayshape fits with a broader strategy to support long-term growth as the company expands both its revenue and workforce. By consolidating multiple legacy tools and increasing automation in resource management, the firm aims to drive operational improvements and enhance service quality for clients.

Kelli Waters added: "We see a bright future with Dayshape. The team truly understands our business and the platform can evolve with us as RSM continues to grow."

This partnership also illustrates ongoing momentum in professional services towards more integrated, AI-enabled resource management, designed to respond to growing demands for efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and seamless global operations.
