Seekr leverages Oracle Cloud & AMD GPUs to accelerate AI platform

Yesterday

Seekr has selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to support the development and deployment of its AI platform for both enterprise and government clients.

The multi-year agreement involves Seekr deploying its agentic AI platform, SeekrFlowTM, on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which utilises AMD MI300X GPUs. This collaboration aims to provide trusted and scalable AI solutions for edge deployments and worldwide users, particularly in critical sectors such as satellite services and national government operations.

Infrastructure and performance

Under this arrangement, Seekr will use OCI's secure and performance-oriented infrastructure to perform multi-node training and optimise its use of GPUs. This infrastructure is purpose-built for supporting the development of large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, facilitating cost-effective inference at scale. Seekr's objective is to accelerate its vision-language foundation models, which are essential in analysing vast amounts of imagery and sensor data for clients including top satellite providers and nation-states.

"OCI was the obvious choice as our international infrastructure partner," said Rob Clark, president, Seekr. "Developing next-generation vision-language foundation models for top satellite providers and nation-states analysing decades of imagery and sensor data requires massive raw GPU compute capacity. Oracle and AMD both came to the table with the infrastructure, top performance multi-node training compute, international presence, and the mindset that makes this possible."

Joint strategy and operational support

As part of the partnership, Seekr and OCI are working on a joint go-to-market strategy targeting government and federal sectors, in addition to broader enterprise markets. This strategy is planned to accelerate the availability of Seekr's AI platform and support customer growth in these key sectors.

The partnership is also supported by ongoing technical collaboration between Seekr, Oracle, and AMD. Chris Gandolfo, Executive Vice President, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AI, said, "Running multi-node training and inference efficiently, without overspending or sacrificing performance, can be a challenge for AI companies. With OCI's purpose-built AI infrastructure, Seekr is able to train LLMs more efficiently at a lower cost. In addition, we're working closely with Seekr's team on performance optimisation, rapid model iteration, and global infrastructure expansion."

This collaboration reflects OCI's efforts to provide a versatile and high-performance environment for AI innovators. OCI's Compute bare metal GPU instances are designed to handle demanding AI workloads such as natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems. Its infrastructure offers technical flexibility, including a range of GPU options, bare metal compute, and more streamlined migration from on-premises environments.

Role of AMD technology

The deployment of AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs plays a central role in supporting Seekr's goals. Negin Oliver, Corporate Vice President of Business Development, Data Center GPU Business at AMD, commented, "Seekr is setting a high bar for performant and efficient end-to-end AI development with its SeekrFlow platform, powered by AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs. We're proud to work with Seekr as they showcase what's possible using AMD Instinct GPUs on OCI's AI enterprise infrastructure."

The companies involved state that advanced edge deployments enabled by this infrastructure will help deliver reliable AI capabilities directly to end users in enterprise and government environments.

AI capabilities and customer support

OCI emphasises its support services extend from the planning phase to launch, with dedicated engineering teams working alongside users. OCI's infrastructure is marketed as offering lower pricing and more options for customers who require high-end computing for AI-driven projects.

Seekr is focusing its efforts on developing foundation models that integrate vision and language processing, aiming to support clients who manage and analyse large-scale, complex data sets from various sources such as satellite imagery. The platform SeekrFlowTM has been designed as an end-to-end solution for preparing, training, and validating AI models.

The agreement reflects an alignment between Seekr, Oracle, and AMD on technical development, operational flexibility, and market strategy, providing resources for customers in sectors seeking scalable and transparent AI solutions.
