Tenable One unifies risk data with new connectors & dashboards

Today

Tenable has announced the introduction of Tenable One Connectors and customisable risk dashboards to its flagship exposure management platform.

The enhancements allow organisations to aggregate and contextualise their security risk data from both Tenable and third-party security products within a unified interface. This expansion marks the first time the Tenable One platform has been opened to ingest and contextualise data from sources outside of its native toolset.

Large organisations currently utilise an average of 83 distinct security tools, according to a recent IBM report. Such fragmentation can result in operational silos, data scattered across platforms, and ultimately, critical blind spots within the attack surface.

Tenable One Connectors are designed to integrate major third-party tools used for endpoint detection and response (EDR), cloud security, vulnerability management, operational technology security, and ticketing, among other applications. The company has stated that further connectors are scheduled for release throughout the second quarter of 2025 and beyond.

By consolidating exposure insights from otherwise disconnected products, Tenable One aims to provide a comprehensive overview of organisational risk, regardless of the specific mix of security solutions in place.

At the core of the platform's architecture is the Tenable Exposure Data Fabric, described by Tenable as a scalable, cloud-native system that ingests, normalises, and connects data from across the security ecosystem. This data foundation supports Tenable ExposureAI, a machine learning engine within the platform intended to identify toxic risk combinations and hidden attack paths and to prioritise responses based on potential business impact.

The latest version of Tenable One introduces unified risk dashboards that are fully customisable. These dashboards are aimed at replacing manual reporting processes, with configurations and visualisation options that can be tailored to align with specific business roles and organisational priorities.

According to the company, the dashboards are intended to enable security teams to deliver insights and communicate risks with greater efficiency and clarity. The customisable nature of the reporting aims to assist businesses in focusing remediation efforts on the areas that present the greatest risk.

Steve Vintz, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Tenable, said: "The cybersecurity market is saturated with point solutions that operate in isolation, slowing security efforts and leaving organisations vulnerable. The power of Tenable One enables organisations to view risks across security tools in context and focus remediation efforts on the exposures that matter most."

The launch of these features follows Tenable's recent acquisition of Vulcan Cyber and is cited by the company as reinforcement of its intentions to maintain breadth, intelligence, and operational scale within the exposure management sector.

Organisations adopting Tenable One will have access to an expanding library of integrations as the company continues to develop and release new connectors. Tenable says these developments are positioned to help businesses address the operational inefficiencies and risk visibility challenges associated with managing numerous point security solutions.

The platform is intended to supply business-aligned intelligence by consolidating diverse streams of risk data, thereby supporting security and IT teams in making more informed decisions in response to evolving threats.
