ThoughtSpot debuts Analyst Studio for AI & analytics

Today

ThoughtSpot has introduced Analyst Studio, a platform designed to streamline data preparation for AI and analytics, enhance strategic business impact, and optimise cloud costs for data teams.

Analyst Studio is compatible with systems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks. It offers a solution to common issues such as fragmented workflows, prolonged time to value, and escalating analytics costs. It enables data teams to connect, integrate, and prepare data optimised for various analytic and AI model needs.

A notable feature of the platform is its integrated analytics workflows, allowing analysts to prepare, explore, and visualise data, delivering comprehensive insights from a single platform. Users have the flexibility to work with SQL, Python, or R for advanced analysis, model development, and workflow automation.

Cost management is another core aspect. Analyst Studio's Datasets feature provides tools to efficiently manage performance and cloud spending. This feature enables the use of live data connections and cached snapshots to balance resource use and performance needs.

Kishore Narahari, Engineering Manager at Lyft, said, "Self service analytics has always been a pipe dream. Analyst Studio has finally made it a reality."

As data teams face increased pressure due to AI-driven business processes, there is a need for accurate, rapid decision-making and deep analytics improvements. Analyst Studio addresses these challenges by simplifying data preparation and offering tools like an integrated SQL IDE enhanced with AI Assist for natural language SQL writing.

The platform supports analytical flexibility by integrating popular data tools and enabling seamless connections with business applications. It ensures data consistency and removes inefficiencies related to multiple, disconnected systems.

Mike Leone, Practice Director and Principal Analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group, commented, "With the introduction of Analyst Studio, ThoughtSpot is delivering a complete end-to-end analytics workflow solution within the ThoughtSpot platform. Data analysts are empowered to independently prepare and explore data, data scientists can produce and distribute models to the broader organisation, and business users can consume insights in natural language, all within the same platform. Analyst Studio is providing ThoughtSpot customers with much-needed agility in the age of AI analytics."

The platform is built to maximise cloud data platform ROI by integrating with systems such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery. Analysts are given tools for exploratory analysis and business logic development, supporting schemas, SQL operations, and visual data exploration.

Ketan Karkhanis, CEO of ThoughtSpot, said, "We're incredibly excited to launch Analyst Studio, a game-changer for businesses looking to unlock AI's true potential. In today's rapidly evolving landscape, having data is not enough; you need to be able to quickly prepare and analyse it to fuel intelligent action."

"Analyst Studio empowers modern data teams to turbocharge data readiness with enhanced workflows and dramatically improve performance. This means faster insights, and ultimately, real ROI from you AI and cloud data investments. With Analyst Studio, we're making the data analyst the superhero, and putting the power of AI into the hands of every user."

Sumeet Arora, Chief Development Officer at ThoughtSpot, stated, "At ThoughtSpot, we believe analysts are creators, and not just report builders. Analyst Studio empowers them to embrace that role fully. We're giving analysts the tools to create AI-ready data, uncover deeper insights faster, and drive greater business impact. By unifying data management, clicks, code, and conversations through visualisations and agentic AI, we deliver a complete intelligence platform for all your business data."
