Education resources provider Twinkl has appointed Harris Goodman as its first US General Manager, as the firm accelerates its expansion across the United States.

Goodman assumes responsibility for Twinkl's US business operations and will lead the domestic team from his base in New Jersey.

According to the company, Goodman brings upwards of 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the US K-12 education sector. His professional background includes tenures at prominent EdTech organisations such as BrainPOP, Achieve3000, and GoGuardian.

The appointment follows a period of significant growth for Twinkl, which is currently scaling its US-based workforce and focusing on strategic expansion in key states. The company highlighted particularly strong activity and market penetration in Florida, Texas, and Georgia.

US leadership

Twinkl said Goodman will guide its US team and shape the direction of its work in the country. The company positioned the role as part of a wider growth strategy focused on building brand recognition with US educators.

Goodman previously served as SVP Marketing and Growth at BrainPOP. Twinkl said he oversaw and contributed to growth initiatives in that role.

"I am incredibly excited to join Twinkl at this pivotal moment in its US journey. Twinkl's mission to 'help those who teach' resonates deeply with my own passion for education. I look forward to leading a team that is already making a strong impact and working hard to ensure every US educator has access to our high-quality resources for their learners," said Harris Goodman, US General Manager, Twinkl.

Market focus

Twinkl sells educational resources for use across schools and other learning settings. The company said it offers more than 1.5 million downloadable resources. It said the catalogue includes classroom materials and assessments. It also includes AI tools and augmented reality games.

Twinkl said its resources are created by teachers. The company said it provides printable and digital materials and related tools and services.

The company said it serves teachers, homeschoolers and parents. It said its products are used in the United States and in more than 190 countries and regions.

International footprint

Twinkl was founded in 2010 by Jonathan and Susie Seaton. The company has its roots in the UK education sector and has expanded internationally over the past decade.

Twinkl said it continues to record sustained growth in Australia. It also described itself as holding a leading position in the UK sector.

In the US, Twinkl has operated with a growing local presence and has marketed curriculum-linked resources aligned to state standards. The company said it has built a footprint in southern and eastern states.

Jon Seaton, who leads Twinkl as CEO, said the hire reflects the company's focus on further expansion in the US. He linked the move to activity in a number of states and to a broader ambition for national reach.

"Harris Goodman's appointment comes at an exciting time for the organization as we continue our expansion in the United States. "He will play an important role in strategically shaping the direction of our US work, building on the strong foundation that has been formed already in markets like Florida, Texas and Georgia, and driving tangible impact for both educators and learners across the nation."" said Jon Seaton, CEO, Twinkl.

Twinkl said Goodman will work with its existing team as it pursues further growth across US states.
