UiPath expands EMR access with new global agreement

Today

UiPath has announced a new global consulting agreement with a major Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform to enhance its professional services capabilities in 16 new countries.

This agreement aims to expedite the process for customers and partners to access the EMR platform. The expansion supports clients in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, and several other locations beyond the US and Canada. This development is expected to allow healthcare organisations improved access to the EMR platform, making the process more seamless and efficient.

EMR platforms play a crucial role in modern healthcare by linking patients, providers, and payers. However, the significant volume of work associated with EMRs often requires healthcare providers to spend more time on data management than on direct patient care. This burden also extends to billing administrators and IT departments tasked with maintaining service interoperability.

UiPath's new professional services agreement intends to address these challenges by facilitating swifter access to EMR systems. It aims to work with strategic regional partners to offer customers diverse options in terms of talent and pricing. Clients will benefit from reduced access times, receiving services within days instead of weeks.

"The EMR market for hospital systems alone is expected to grow beyond USD $20 billion in 2025, which shows the worldwide dependency on major EMR platforms for providers, payers, and patients. Unfortunately, healthcare costs also continue to rise in parallel. Automation and agentic automation are powerful solutions to lower costs and improve efficiencies," said Jason Warrelmann, Vice President of Industry Practice at UiPath. "With professional services from UiPath and its qualified partners, healthcare organisations have significantly greater access and resources to drive down costs and automate more end-to-end processes with the ultimate goal of better care and more fulfilling work for healthcare professionals."

The introduction of agentic automation and artificial intelligence further supports this agreement. UiPath's solutions utilise sophisticated AI tools, such as large language models (LLMs) and large action models (LAMs), which can autonomously execute tasks without human intervention. These tools are designed to autonomously assess data, recognise patterns, formulate questions, and take action to meet specific objectives.

The adoption of these technologies is expected to enable healthcare organisations to streamline their operations, reduce administrative workload, and focus on enhancing the overall quality of care. This approach could potentially decrease administrative and clinical friction, increase revenue integrity, and reduce costs by optimising interoperability and application testing.

Overall, the new agreement between UiPath and the EMR platform represents a significant step towards increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness for healthcare organisations, offering comprehensive solutions to some of the industry's most pressing challenges.
