Unanet unveils Champ AI to streamline project workflows & data
Unanet has announced the launch of Champ AI, a natural-language copilot platform for government contracting (GovCon) and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms. The platform is positioned to help project-based businesses unify data, automate tasks, and enable users to access insights and guidance in their regular workflows.
Intelligent automation
Champ AI acts as a multi-agent intelligence system that integrates data from across a company's Unanet environment and related business systems. It automates multi-step operational tasks, delivering recommendations tailored to specific roles and situations without requiring users to generate reports or write database queries. The platform includes capabilities for connecting disparate data types, advising users with contextual responses, executing asynchronous workflow approvals, and adapting to individual preferences.
User experience
The copilot is designed to support business development, project management, finance, and executive leadership. Project teams can access information, monitor performance indicators, route approvals, and manage resources or billing cycles directly through conversational interfaces. Proposal managers can leverage past project data and resumes to generate compliance-ready submissions rapidly, while finance users gain on-demand access to analysis and forecasting tools.
Security safeguards
Champ AI is built on a secure and governed artificial intelligence architecture. The service enforces access controls, audit logs, and role-based permissions. Customer data remains separate from large language model (LLM) training, supporting regulatory compliance requirements. The governed reasoning layer ensures that each action is validated and traceable, with a focus on producing outputs that can be explained and reproduced.
Sector needs
Project-based organisations, particularly in sectors with high data volume and compliance requirements, face ongoing challenges in making real-time use of data. Champ AI integrates these insights and actions within the familiar Unanet environment, aiming to reduce manual work and facilitate adoption among broader business teams. The system also intends to enhance data quality by embedding role-aware governance into daily workflows.
Deployment details
The platform's initial module, Champ AI for proposals, is now available as part of Unanet ProposalAI. This release targets proposal and capture teams seeking to automate the generation of bids and the conversion of experience into compliant documentation. Broader rollout across Unanet's core solutions is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2026, including an integrated growth suite and ERP capabilities enabled by agentic AI technology from Wyatt.
