Yaspa has won Best Payments Initiative in Open Banking at the PAY360 Awards, with the award recognising its Intelligent Payments platform.

The win adds to a run of industry accolades this year, alongside recognition in growth and financial technology rankings.

The PAY360 award recognised a platform that combines Pay by Bank transactions with financial intelligence in a single consented payment flow. According to Yaspa, the product brings together real-time bank payments and customer insight tools.

Founded in 2017, Yaspa operates in the UK, Europe and the US, with offices in London, Leeds and Atlanta. It is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.

The latest award follows several other honours. Yaspa was named Payment Solution of the Year at the SBC Awards in Lisbon and ranked seventh in the 2026 Sifted 250 list of Europe's fastest-growing start-ups.

Earlier this year, it was named Best Payment Solution Provider at the European iGaming Awards. It also won AI Solutions Provider and Safer Gambling Supplier at the EGR B2B Awards.

Yaspa has also been included in CB Insights' Top 100 Fintechs, a global list of financial technology companies.

Yaspa said the award recognises its work combining open banking and artificial intelligence to improve payment experiences. The company has also received recognition across the payments and wider technology industries, reflecting its ongoing product development and the work of its team.

"We're delighted to have been recognised at the PAY360 Awards for our Intelligent Payments platform. Intelligent Payments is all about bringing together the power of open banking and AI to create a smarter, more seamless payment experience, so it's fantastic to see the innovation behind the platform recognised by the judges. It's been an incredibly exciting period for Yaspa, with recognition coming from across both the payments and wider technology industries. These awards are a great reflection of the hard work and ambition of the whole team," said James Neville, Chief Executive Officer of Yaspa.

Yaspa describes its business as combining open banking with artificial intelligence in payments and account verification. Its services include instant bank payments and customer verification tools aimed at merchants and other businesses that need payment checks and account data.

The company was founded by a former Worldpay Chief Technology Officer. It has focused on using open banking infrastructure to support direct bank payments and related verification services in a market where financial technology groups continue to look for alternatives to card-based transactions.

The PAY360 recognition places Yaspa among a group of companies attracting attention in the UK payments sector as open banking products expand beyond account-to-account transfers into data-led services. The category win also reflects continuing industry interest in payment products that combine transaction processing with risk and customer verification functions.
