Celonis debuts at No.3 on 2025 Fortune Future 50 for AI focus
Celonis has been ranked No.3 on the 2025 Fortune Future 50 list, marking its debut on the global index that identifies companies poised for long-term growth.
The annual list, curated in partnership with Boston Consulting Group, assessed more than 3,000 companies this year, including 150 privately held and venture-backed start-ups.
Fortune analysed more than 10 million data points to pinpoint 25 key metrics covering strategy, technology, workforce, organisational structure, and company culture.
Process intelligence focus
Celonis is recognised for its role in enabling artificial intelligence (AI) and business transformation through its Process Intelligence Platform.
The technology uses process mining and AI, combined with business context, to deliver a real-time digital twin of a company's operations.
The platform is system-agnostic and designed to provide a uniform language for understanding and improving business processes across organisations. Celonis aims to help its customers realise value across all lines of business performance.
Celonis' Process Intelligence Platform is currently in use at more than a quarter of Fortune 500 companies. The company is headquartered in Munich and New York, and operates from more than 20 offices globally.
"Being named to the Fortune Future 50 is powerful validation of the mission we've been on since day one - to make processes work for people, companies and the planet," said Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis.
"This is truly just the beginning of seeing how Process Intelligence is making enterprise AI work."
Awards and recognition
In addition to its rank on the Future 50 list, Celonis received the Excellence in Technology Award from Workday, sponsor of this year's list.
The award, presented at the Go for Growth Summit in San Francisco, recognised companies advancing enterprise technology and growth among the selected Future 50.
The inclusion of Celonis on the list has also been interpreted as evidence of the increasing importance of process intelligence in supporting enterprise resilience and performance. According to the company, this points to the rising significance of robust digital ecosystems in shaping business operations.
Future 50 breakdown
This year's Fortune Future 50 list is made up of a diverse group of companies.
Thirty-eight firms are drawn from the software and AI sector, while others represent areas such as digital media, hardware, eCommerce, fintech, and health technology. The majority, 76%, have their headquarters in the United States.
Private firms made up half of the top 50, despite only constituting 5% of the companies evaluated.
Cloud-based data storage provider Snowflake was ranked first, followed by Databricks, a data, analytics, and AI services company, with Celonis occupying the third spot. The rankings reflect both the present performance and future potential of entities across various technology domains.
The evaluation and ranking process involved a rigorous methodology, drawing on a broad spectrum of data to assess criteria such as adaptability, technology implementation, and organisational strength.
Celonis' appearance for the first time on the Future 50 list is seen as a recognition of its position in the enterprise process intelligence and technology sector.
The company has focused its efforts on supporting clients' business transformations through continuous process improvement and integration of AI-enabled insights.
