Dexory robots bring real-time digital twins to ODW

Wed, 17th Dec 2025

Dexory has deployed its robotics and data intelligence platform, DexoryView, at an ODW Logistics distribution centre in Columbus, Ohio, as part of a project with material handling specialist Raymond Storage Concepts.

The installation enables autonomous inventory scans and a digital twin of the facility to be integrated into ODW's warehouse operations. It marks one of Dexory's first publicised roll-outs with a US third-party logistics provider.

The Columbus site now uses an autonomous mobile robot from Dexory to navigate the warehouse and scan storage locations. The robot feeds data into DexoryView, which creates a real-time digital representation of racks and pallets.

Dexory said each mission covers more than 20,000 storage locations. The robot completes full-facility scans several times per week.

The scans run without manual supervision. They also run without halting or rerouting other warehouse activities.

ODW uses the system to detect inventory discrepancies earlier in the process. It then reconciles stock records and physical locations based on the data.

The project includes automated pallet auditing for CHEP- and PECO-pooled pallets. This process aims to cut chargebacks linked to pallet accounting errors.

DexoryView records the location and status of pallets during each scan. The platform then flags gaps and mismatches for the ODW team.

The company said the new set-up has reduced time spent on manual checks. It has also shifted staff away from routine walking and counting tasks.

DexoryView runs as a software layer above existing warehouse systems at ODW. It connects to those systems and exchanges location and inventory data.

The interface shows visual confirmations of pallet positions. It also presents trend analysis and generates alerts based on changes over time.

ODW's teams use these views during daily planning and exception handling. They use them across inventory control and operations management.

Dexory said the data gives warehouse staff faster insight into stock issues and process breaks. It said this insight supports quicker decisions about replenishment and investigations.

US-based operations are a growing focus for Dexory. The company, founded in the UK, has previously named logistics groups such as GXO, Maersk and DHL as users of its platform in other regions.

Raymond Storage Concepts acts as the integrator for the Columbus project. It supplies material handling equipment and intralogistics design services across several US states.

The company brought Dexory into the ODW facility as part of a broader automation and layout programme. It aligned the robot missions with ODW's existing workflows and racking configuration.

Dexory positions its technology as suitable for automated, hybrid and manual warehouses. The company said it does not replace core warehouse management systems. It said it adds a persistent layer of physical verification.

ODW Logistics is a third-party logistics provider that offers warehousing, eCommerce fulfilment and transportation services. The firm works with manufacturers and brands seeking tighter control over inventory accuracy and service levels.

Warehouse operators in North America are increasing investment in robotics and data platforms. They are responding to labour constraints, service expectations and the growth of eCommerce and omnichannel fulfilment.

Dexory and Raymond Storage Concepts framed the Columbus deployment as part of that trend. They highlighted the combination of physical automation and data analytics in daily warehouse management.

"We are proud to see the impact Dexory's technology is making at ODW Logistics," said Todd Boone, Vice President, North America, Dexory. "Through our collaboration with Raymond Storage Concepts, we're empowering warehouse teams with instant visibility and intelligent automation, enabling them to achieve new levels of operational performance."

Raymond Storage Concepts said the project reflects growing collaboration between equipment providers and software-focused firms.

"This project with ODW Logistics demonstrates the power of partnership and innovation," said Chris Orsog, Division Sales Manager, Engineered Solutions, Raymond Storage Concepts. "By combining our intralogistics expertise with Dexory's real-time data and automation technology, we're helping our customers make their warehouses smarter, faster and more efficient."

ODW said the platform has changed day-to-day inventory work at the site.

"DexoryView has transformed how we manage inventory and identify process issues," said Kayla Watson, Sr. Inventory Manager, ODW Logistics. "The ability to complete autonomous scans, capture detailed data, and act on insights in real-time has allowed our teams to work more efficiently, with fewer discrepancies and faster problem resolution. It's a game-changer in our pursuit of automation and supply chain excellence."

Dexory and Raymond Storage Concepts plan further joint projects with logistics and manufacturing customers in the region. They aim to extend real-time scanning and digital twin tools into more warehouses over the coming period.
