SmartBear’s HaloAI wins AI Software Development Solution award
SmartBear has received the AI Software Development Solution of the Year award at the AI Breakthrough Awards for the second consecutive year for its HaloAI technology.
The AI Breakthrough Awards aim to identify and recognise companies, technologies, and products in the artificial intelligence sector that deliver notable achievements in their respective fields. SmartBear's HaloAI was recognised for its influence on productivity, software quality, and its direct application to practical developer workflows.
Steve Johansson, Managing Director at AI Breakthrough, commented on SmartBear's achievement.
"SmartBear stood out again this year for its bold and practical approach to embedding AI directly into real-world developer workflows. HaloAI is a rethinking of how teams can improve quality, speed, and collaboration across the entire software lifecycle. With thousands of submissions, the competition for this year's awards was extremely fierce, and we're thrilled to congratulate SmartBear for driving meaningful innovation in AI-powered software development."
HaloAI, launched last year, is strategically integrated across SmartBear's suite of solutions, including Zephyr with no-code artificial intelligence test automation, SmartBear API Hub, and TestComplete AI Test Data Generation. The features are designed to help software developers and testers automate critical tasks and enhance efficiency within existing software tools.
In addition to its current offerings, SmartBear recently introduced Reflect Mobile, a GenAI-powered test automation solution for mobile applications. This extension now allows users to perform no-code testing on both native iOS and Android applications, broadening the potential impact of HaloAI on mobile software development.
SmartBear is also engaging customers in the ongoing development of its AI-driven solutions through the HaloAI Labs initiative. This invitation-only programme enables customers to participate in early access trials of new AI features and contribute feedback that influences the direction of the technology's development. HaloAI Labs participants gain access to features in a pre-beta stage, allowing them to assess emerging capabilities and collaborate with SmartBear's development teams on improvements.
Fitz Nowlan, PhD, Vice President of AI and Architecture at SmartBear, responded to the award with the following statement:
"We're honored to receive this recognition from AI Breakthrough for the second year running. HaloAI represents a paradigm shift in software development, empowering developers and testers to achieve unprecedented levels of productivity and innovation. This award reinforces our commitment to delivering customer-centric innovation and trusted AI that teams can rely on to accelerate quality without compromise."
SmartBear reports that over 16 million developers, testers, and software engineers use its products globally, with customers including well-known organisations across various industries. The company continues to emphasise responsible and transparent AI practices in its development process, with a focus on supporting both ethical technology standards and customer needs.
The AI Breakthrough Awards are part of an annual programme that seeks to bring attention to key players and advancements in artificial intelligence, reflecting ongoing changes across the software development landscape and the industry's adoption of AI-driven automation and quality practices.
