Tempo unveils Allegro, a new strategic management platform
Tempo has announced its new Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform along with the first release named Allegro, which introduces new capabilities including workflow enhancements, dynamic plan refinements, and deeper integrations with existing work management systems.
The SPM platform is presented as an integrated suite of solutions that enhance the usability and extensibility of work management platforms such as Jira. It is structured in a modular and flexible architecture allowing enterprises to efficiently evolve their strategic portfolio management approaches through features like persona-based workflows, analytics, and insights, as well as integrations.
Chief Executive Officer, Vic Chynoweth, commented on the launch, "In today's fast-moving business landscape, teams and enterprises benefit enormously from the promise of strategic portfolio management but are often challenged by the burden of implementation, change management, and adoption. Our flexible, modular approach enables teams and enterprises to quickly gain traction and realise value – and to grow the scope and value at their own pace."
The platform's persona-based workflows provide tailored solutions for various stakeholders ranging from executives to operational teams, supporting agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. This enables the adaptability of agile processes while maintaining the structured clarity of the waterfall approach.
Analytics and insights, another key feature of the platform, allow for the integration of data from various sources, including Tempo itself and third-party tools like Power BI. This aims to facilitate real-time decision-making and to support successful portfolio management.
The Allegro release includes several new features, such as Adaptive Planner. This tool is designed to support quick innovation in planning by using AI to develop scenarios and make dynamic adjustments based on shifting market conditions or strategic priorities.
The Hybrid Project Management feature aims to cut across different project management strategies by integrating methods to support clarity and compatibility across diverse project types. Users can benefit from tools such as story point planning and sprint-level forecasting that align both agile and waterfall methods within a single solution.
With the Idea Manager, teams are able to gather and rank customer ideas through a unified portal, which helps align strategic investments with genuine customer needs, contributing to more customer-centric solutions.
Another innovative capability in the Allegro release is the Rovo Agents. These tools simplify complex tasks for users of Atlassian Jira by integrating AI and natural language processing, helping them save time and increase productivity. Tempo has developed seven specific Rovo agents tailored to enhance user productivity in various scenarios.
