Industry context
The regional technology market has seen increased collaboration between data protection vendors and major cloud ecosystem partners as demand for resilient IT infrastructure grows. Many enterprise customers are now looking to partners who can provide secure, scalable, and intelligent protection for data spread across a variety of platforms, including SaaS, on-premises, and cloud-native environments. Digital transformation, particularly through AI and cloud adoption, remains a focal point for investment and capability expansion in EMEA's technology sector.
Veeam has stated that its strategy is to empower organisations to expand productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate business growth through robust data protection and resilience initiatives. The appointment of Groene is expected to see a sharper focus on alliance-building, joint technology initiatives, and engagement with enterprise and public sector organisations looking to leverage Microsoft technology in their digital strategies.
