Victor Szczerba has been appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member of Pathway, a company developing Live AI technology, following their successful USD $10 million Seed funding round.

In his new role, Szczerba will oversee the scaling and development of Pathway's ecosystem and go-to-market strategies, aiming to enhance the company's customer base that includes organisations such as La Poste and NATO. Operating from Pathway's newly relocated headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Szczerba brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including positions at SAP, McKinsey, AMD, and Sun.

Szczerba previously served as a market developer for new solutions at SAP, where he was instrumental in constructing the EIM Data Division and developing the initial go-to-market strategy for HANA. In 2013, he also founded Yeti Data, a customer data platform specialising in analytics and intelligence. Before accepting a permanent position at Pathway, he was a Board Advisor for the company while advising numerous other tech companies over the past decade.

The appointment of Szczerba marks the beginning of a series of new hires for Pathway, as the company expands to support its mission of advancing Live AI systems. Trisha Nangia has been named as Director of Strategy, a move intended to aid Szczerba in addressing impactful strategic initiatives. Nangia, a California native, previously worked as an investment director at Partech and as a Vice President at BlackRock.

To further support the company's mission, Pathway plans to grow its technical team significantly, concentrating on recruiting AI researchers, AI engineers, and sales engineers. The leadership of this effort includes Pathway Co-founders, Chief Scientific Officer Adrian Kosowski and Chief Technology Officer Jan Chorowski, who have previously collaborated with renowned AI scholar Geoff Hinton.

Pathway aims to create Live AI systems known for capable complex reasoning, a focus that underscores their commitment to AI research and development throughout 2025.

Zuzanna Stamirowska, CEO and Co-founder of Pathway, commented: "Now is a pivotal time for Pathway as we create the missing components that will empower all enterprises, no matter how sensitive their data, to harness complex and changing data sets for the most accurate AI insights. I have known Victor for several years, and bringing him on board in a full-time position is an exciting step. His intellectual curiosity, drive and wealth of experience in bringing cutting-edge technology products to market will be instrumental in the company's continued upward trajectory."

Victor Szczerba also shared his reflections on joining Pathway: "Pathway is pushing the boundaries of Live AI; I am delighted to join Zuzanna and the team to address previously unsolved problems with data and AI. Pathway's market position is unique, and I look forward to strengthening that relationship as we continue to build Pathway into a company of consequence."
