WaveMaker unveils app studio for influencer-branded MVNO apps

WaveMaker has announced the launch of a consumer-focused mobile app studio for influencers aiming to establish branded, mobile-first wireless businesses in collaboration with AT&T.

The new mobile app studio is designed to specifically enhance custom mobile app experiences for influencer mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). It integrates advanced engagement tools and embedded wireless features, in alignment with AT&T's broader strategy to empower emerging wireless disruptors in reaching their audiences through culturally relevant digital channels.

The partnership leverages WaveMaker's integration with high-performance MVNx APIs, working alongside AT&T on a go-to-market initiative. The offering is positioned to enable influencers to create and manage branded apps that incorporate wireless service capabilities, engaging their followers with new digital experiences.

Vikram Srivats, Chief Commercial Officer at WaveMaker, commented, "Creating engagement and appeal with the TikTok and Instagram generation of users is a high bar for any new consumer mobile app. And it's no different for an influencer branded app with embedded wireless plans - even if the influencer has millions of followers."

WaveMaker's app studio launch is a big leap forward, providing robust UI/UX flexibility for emerging MVNx players using AT&T's class-leading 5G network."

The influencer app studio uses React Native as its technology framework, in conjunction with proprietary AutoCode AI and machine learning tooling, to generate user interfaces directly from Figma designs. This approach enables influencers and MVNO operators to quickly and cost-effectively assemble mobile applications, offering a wide range of out-of-the-box components, including feeds, premium content, events, sweepstakes, merchandise, streaks, phone plans, and checkout functionalities.

Brands are afforded further customisation through rich themes, fonts, colours, and design templates, allowing influencer MVNOs to bring products to market faster and distinguish themselves in a competitive landscape. These features also enable a streamlined setup process for managing wireless offerings and community engagement within the same platform.
