Dreame unveils 20-plus smart home products in San Francisco

Wed, 29th Apr 2026 (Today)

Dreame Technology unveiled more than 20 smart home products at its DREAME NEXT Living Next showcase in San Francisco, marking its widest one-day product rollout to date.

The new line-up focuses on extending Dreame's bionic robotic arm technology into a broader range of household appliances, including air conditioners, range hoods, steam ovens and dishwashers. First introduced in 2023, the system has since been adapted across categories as the engineering behind it has evolved.

The technology also appears in the latest version of Dreame's robot vacuum range. Its second-generation bionic robotic arm system extends the side brush by up to 12cm and the mop by up to 16cm, aiming to improve coverage along edges and corners.

At the event, Dreame outlined how the robotic arm concept changes form depending on the appliance. In the X Series Air Conditioner, it takes the shape of a dual-arm airflow system designed to distribute air at a 126-degree angle and direct it to specific zones. In the HX01 range hood, articulated wing arms use millimetre-wave radar to detect cookware placement and adjust the smoke capture angle in real time.

Elsewhere in the range, the OX01 steam oven uses the system as a full-zone airflow guide, while the DX01 dishwasher includes an AI-powered robotic arm designed to deliver automated wash coverage throughout the interior. Together, the products reflect Dreame's effort to apply a common technical base across different areas of the home rather than limit it to floor-cleaning devices.

Broader line-up

Beyond the robotic arm platform, Dreame also presented products built around its AI software and motor systems. Among the most notable was the Z1 Laundry Robot, which can pick up clothing, wash it, dry it and retrieve it without human help by combining a multi-joint robotic arm, multimodal sensing and AI perception tools.

The company also showed an AI coffee machine that learns user preferences and links with wearable devices to monitor physiological data and suggest drinks. These additions were positioned as part of a broader move into connected household devices, rather than a focus solely on cleaning equipment.

Cleaning appliances still made up a large part of the launch. The X60 Pro Ultra Complete robot vacuum features second-generation bionic robotic arm technology, with an 18cm mop pad extension and a 12cm side brush extension. It also has a 42kPa suction fan operating at 150,000 RPM.

Another model, the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller Complete, was presented as a robot vacuum that combines 160C steam mopping, 75C hot water mopping, 18N pressure and a 100C hot water base station wash in one system. In the wet floor cleaner segment, the Aero Ultra Steam combines steam cleaning, hot water washing and foam cleaning in a single unit.

Platform approach

The event also underlined Dreame's view of the robotic arm as a reusable technology platform rather than a single-product feature. The approach is intended to let the company transfer design work from one appliance category to another as it expands its consumer electronics range.

"Bionic robotic arm technology started with solving a single problem on a robot vacuum. Today it powers products across various appliance categories," said Chang Xinwei, global president of Dreame Technology. "When a core technology can evolve from cleaning floors to managing airflow, directing heat, and handling laundry autonomously, it stops being a product feature. It becomes a platform."

Founded in 2017, Dreame now operates in more than 120 countries and regions. It has more than 6,500 offline stores, serves more than 42 million households and has filed more than 10,000 patents worldwide, including more than 3,000 granted patents.

The latest launch suggests Dreame is trying to broaden its identity from a cleaning appliance maker into a multi-category home technology brand. Its portfolio now spans smart home appliances, intelligent cleaning devices, outdoor smart products and personal care, alongside categories such as smartphones and smart vehicles.

Former NBA player Dwyane Wade appeared during on-stage demonstrations of the robot vacuum and wet floor cleaner products. Dreame described the Living Next line-up as the broadest single-day product launch in its history.
