Farseer has expanded into the UK and North America and launched a finance tool called AI Analyst, extending the European company into two large markets for finance software.

AI Analyst is already in use with customers, including TT Hotels and EuroTeleSites. Farseer describes it as a conversational tool that lets finance teams query live financial models in plain language while keeping calculations within its existing governed model.

Farseer is targeting finance teams under pressure to update their planning, reporting, and forecasting systems while maintaining confidence in the figures used by executives, auditors, and boards. The product does not generate financial numbers on its own. Instead, it relies on Farseer's model, called Rama, to perform calculations.

Users can request tables, rankings, variance breakdowns, and commentary from live model data. The tool is read-only and displays the variables and dimensions used in its responses.

The launch follows Farseer's USD $7.2 million Series A funding round. Its reporting has also received certification from the International Business Communication Standards, which aligns with ISO 24896.

Market push

The expansion gives Farseer a local presence in the UK through implementation consultants Maksim Grigorjev, Rajvinder Dhesi and Velislav Asenov. The new footprint is intended to support finance teams adopting its software in the region.

North America is the second part of the international push as Farseer looks to broaden its reach beyond its European base. It sees both markets as important destinations for finance and business software suppliers.

Its broader platform is designed to support forecasting cycles, the loading and reconciliation of actuals from ERP and CRM systems, and the assignment of tasks and deadlines. Farseer says this can reduce the time needed for financial planning and cut manual finance work.

Tool details

AI Analyst is designed to work inside tools already used by finance teams, including Slack, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp. It supports analysis across performance and positioning, price-volume-mix, trend and seasonality, multi-dimensional profitability, and variance across actuals, budgets, forecasts and plans.

Farseer's approach separates the calculation of numbers from the interpretation of results. The structure is intended to address concerns about inaccurate or fabricated outputs from generic AI tools in sensitive financial work.

Finance software providers have increasingly focused on explainability as businesses test AI in decision-making processes. In financial reporting and planning, scrutiny has increased because senior management, boards and auditors may review outputs.

Matej Trbara, Co-Founder at Farseer, outlined the company's view of the problem facing finance departments.

"Most finance teams are still working across fragmented systems, spreadsheets and manual processes. This means that reporting becomes a negotiation rather than a fact: finance leaders can ask the same question in two different places and the answer will change depending on which spreadsheet, definition or system is being used. Add AI to that foundation and the problem does not disappear. It is exposed.

"Farseer has taken a different approach. The governed model does the maths, the AI does the reasoning, and every answer points back to the definitions finance teams have already agreed. We're excited to expand into the UK and North America, where finance leaders need AI solutions they can defend to a CFO, an auditor and a board," said Trbara.

Farseer said its reporting certification places it among a small number of financial reporting platforms that meet the standard.
