Smartsheet has appointed Ravi Soin as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead its global IT and security strategy.

Soin will be responsible for overseeing cybersecurity practices across the company's operations and products, as well as consulting on its product roadmap and guiding data privacy initiatives amid ongoing developments in artificial intelligence.

According to Smartsheet, Soin's appointment is intended to strengthen its organisational focus on secure enterprise-grade solutions, with a particular emphasis on protecting customer data and supporting critical workflows.

In his new role, Soin is expected to work closely with product teams, implement global IT protocols, and ensure Smartsheet's data privacy standards keep pace with advancing technology. This aligns with Smartsheet's stated objective to offer customers a secure platform whilst adopting artificial intelligence features.
