Spreetail unveils Promise Pro to speed up large item deliveries

Today

Spreetail has introduced Promise Pro, a solution that employs smart routing algorithms to display fast delivery offers and provide real-time updates for larger items purchased online.

The new tool leverages Spreetail's fulfilment infrastructure across the United States to calculate and present the best possible delivery speeds based on a shopper's location. These delivery promises are shown consistently across different sales platforms, including prominent online marketplaces and brands' direct-to-consumer websites, so customers encounter the same fulfilment expectations regardless of where they make a purchase.

Promise Pro has been developed as part of Spreetail's Smart Shelf suite, a collection of tools aimed at enhancing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency with which brands can manage their digital retail presence. In addition to calculating delivery times, Promise Pro automates the choice of the most suitable warehouse for each order, benefiting both brands and consumers with more predictable service.

Industry research

Recent analysis from Coresight Research shows that offering fast delivery options of two days or less can result in a 10.5% rise in conversion rates and an 8.9% increase in repeat purchases. Spreetail cites this data to highlight the commercial significance of delivery speeds in eCommerce. By surfacing rapid delivery options at checkout, Promise Pro aims to lower cart abandonment rates and boost customer satisfaction.

"Shipping time is a key differentiator for shoppers," said Josh Smith, Chief Technology Officer at Spreetail. "By promising and delivering fast shipping, brands can capture more purchases and delight customers with a smooth experience that drives repeat business. In essence, Promise Pro turns logistics into a marketing asset, converting speed into sales and service into loyalty."

Customer engagement features

The solution also introduces real-time communication features intended to reduce the need for customer service interventions related to order status. Shoppers receive notifications at key moments in the process - when their order is confirmed, shipped, out for delivery, or delivered. Alerts are sent instantly in the case of delays, and updates are available via email, SMS, or an online portal.

By providing these ongoing updates, Promise Pro seeks to set clear expectations throughout the purchasing and delivery journey, which could help to decrease the number of queries concerning the location and status of customer orders.

Delivery network and performance

Spreetail reports that brands using its platform are achieving shipping speeds averaging just 1.5 days. This performance, the company notes, has contributed to an approximate 12.5% increase in gross merchandise value (GMV) for participating brands. The fulfilment network is specifically designed for speed and accommodates the logistical demands of large, heavy, and temperature-sensitive products. According to Spreetail, the network can reach 75% of US consumers with next-day delivery and 97% within two days.

Promise Pro constitutes the latest addition to Spreetail's Smart Shelf suite, which also includes the Price Pulse and Listing Doctor tools. The suite is structured to assist brands in managing their eCommerce presence with a focus on speed, data accuracy, and operational effectiveness. Spreetail states that it holds a strong position on leading eCommerce platforms for the logistics of oversized goods.

By introducing Promise Pro, Spreetail aims to support brands seeking more efficient online distribution of bulky and perishable items, while maintaining consistent customer experiences across digital sales environments.
